Save a Child's Heart (SACH) Canada is an Israeli-based non-profit organization that provides urgent life-saving cardiac surgery for infants and children from under-privileged areas at no cost.  SACH saves lives by performing over 200 surgeries annually both in Israel and in partnering countries. SACH also trains medical personnel in developing countries with the goal of establishing centres of competence.  By mending hearts regardless of race, nationality or financial status, SACH contributes to a better, more peaceful and productive life for children from around the world. Give to Save a Child's Heart Canada.

Alzheimer's Society of Canada promotes public education and awareness of Alzheimer's disease and provides help for people with Alzheimer's disease and their caregivers through support services, information resources, creating guidelines for care and ethics. Give to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.

At work, Dan also supports the Federated Health Charities Campaign and the United Way. Federated Health is the OPS's campaign to support sixteen health charities across the province http://www.federatedhealth.ca/.
